Guest guest Posted December 30, 1999 Report Share Posted December 30, 1999 when i saw dr. heffez, he was concerned that theircould be other problems in cervical area, he thoughtthat needed to be checked out before i was to havethe surgery,he said it was common with people who have chiarito also have stenosis also of the cervical portionof the spine. and if so i would require another surgery for this, he said the 2 have the samesymptoms.has anyone had stenosis and chiari?i was dx chiari1thanks everyone for your support!take care!margaret Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

She was diagnosed w/Chiar and Cervical stenosis by her nsg Dr. Rosner - (2)MRI's - one a cine flow MRI. She had standard decompression duraplasty laminectomy at C1-C2 (for her stenosis) She is also congenitally narrowed 10mm where it should be around 15-16mm If you have any other questions pls- email Dori Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
