Guest guest
Hi all:-)) Do you have access to " Teaching Exceptional Children " magazine from the Council of Exceptional Children? Vol 31 No. 5 May/June 199, Page 43, has a wonderful article TEACHING HEARING PARENTS TO READ EFFECTIVELY TO THEIR CHILDREN WHO ARE DEAF written by beth N. Lartz. {It examines strategies that deaf adults use during shared reading and adapting them, thus giving us " hearing parents " of Deaf children ideas and suggestions for successful shared reading with our children who are Deaf.} My masters thesis deals with emergent literacy and strategies to enable literacy in ALL children with developmental delays -- I wish I would have seen this article sooner:-(( Butterfly kisses and have a wonderful day:-) h Spanglet
