Guest guest
Good morning one and all. I'll try to be brief. Per Dr. Milhorat, I have been on Diamox since early October. I was initially very happy with the results (despite some tedious side effects). My dizziness and light-headedness came to a virtual halt and my headaches were few. So about three weeks ago, I returned to work part-time and was feeling quite optimistic and believed that I could avoid any more surgery at least for the present. I started working part-time (4 hrs./day), and am still on that schedule, hoping to step up to full-time by January. My family needs my income. But my concern was that as Dr. Milhorat told me-increased activity tends to worsen " pressure headaches " . Well, I was in tears last night because my daily headaches have returned. Every day my head is one BIG ACHE. I've experienced worse pain in my life - but, it just wears me down. I'm taking two darvocet every two hours. It blunts the pain a bit and makes me queasy. What do I do now? I'm scheduled to return to the neurologist at Hershey Medical Center Jan. 6 (or the 16th, I can't remember). My family doc tries his best but this is really a nsg's domain. Should I call Dr. Milhorat? What should I say? Are daily headaches sufficient grounds for surgery ?(I'm feeling ready to go for it-to get away from these headaches). I'm a great one for giving advice but don't know how to handle my own problems. Help - I need guidance!! Much love and thanks, Vikki
