Guest guest
Hi Roopa, That is great you are able to find a good colon cleanse for your husband. I hope you will be doing it also. I have never heard of those ingredients, let us know how it works. Guest guest
Oh my gosh, Roopa!! I'm SO EXCITED! I looked up Triphala and got so much cool info.! Man, this product is beautiful. I've had horrible digestive problems all my life. I just found out from one link to the next stuff about " Ayurveda(?) " and I'm so " Vata " it's funny! Nothing has ever described me so well. I even found out what my husband is, and I just had to laugh and laugh. I called him at work and he couldn't believe how right on it all was. Described us both in so many ways. Anyway, Vatas often have problems like digestion stuff/constipation. We're nervous Nellys, hyper-tense, really creative and can't sleep, due to our ridiculously hyper minds, etc. I've taken SO MANY laxatives all my life, being tortured by severe constipation. Of course I literally destroyed my intestines and stomach doing this. I've never found anything that works, as well as protects me and doesn't rip out the lining(mucous) of the walls. This Triphala sounds better than anything else. I'm so happy and so is my husband. I also realized (for being a Vata) that I need to stay in a really warm climate and either shouldn't move from California, or should move only to hot places. I get extremely anxious in wind or cold. Lots of fun stuff. Thanks for setting me off. ~amy By the way, if anyone can give me tips on sleeping, I'd love it. I have my own, but always looking for anything new. No drugs, please(if we can help it.)
Guest guest
Amy, Actually my uncle is so much into natural medicine that he always adviced us to take Triphala for not just one but many reasons. He is so right and it is available in every other Ayurvedic store here.Did you try and find out where you get it over there?? You dont have to stick to the dosage I was tellin you yesterday. Try it with a minimum dosage and increase slowly. Actually, we can even try it weekly once. I have used it when my uncle gave it and it dint bother me at all. The powder has a strong taste. If you cant handle it, go in for the capsules.Isn't it a wonderful thing for a regular cleanse Amy???!!! Guest guest
Sure , I will let you know how it works.Infact,I have taken it before when my uncle gave it to us for various problems. It dint hurt. And if you are not able to handle the taste of the powder, go in for capsules and the powder can be mixed with honey and eaten. Have you heard of beetle leaf?? The powder can be mixed with honey, spread on the beetle leaf and chewed up. Hope some of you will try it and have a safe cleanse! AMY, READ THE LAST BIT OF INFO HERE SINCE I FORGOT TO WRITE THAT TO YOU. Guest guest
Hi Roopa! I am sorry its taken me so long to get back to you. Hydro is quite a challenge in Darjeeling I am now learning. I didn't know that Himalayan Goji was better than Tibtan! I was actually asking for the Tibetan. So here is my problem. No one in Darjeeling knows what I am talking about. Not even the Tibetan refugees that I have met. Could there be another name for it? Goji berries are not easy to find here in the Himalayas. I was told that I might have to check over in U.P??? On the other side of the mountains. I am still looking and will let you know the where they come from. Once I do find the berries, I will be taking as much as I can back to Canada with me. I am here for another 6 days and then 1 day in Kolcutta, off to the UK for 7 days and back home to REST!!! Ross was able to get the Triphala and the ashwangandhadi from Kolcutta and I have more on order. Roopa can you tell me what I do with the ashwangandhadi? The chemist told me to take 1/2 tsp twice a day what does it do? To answer some of your questions, I follow a vegan version of the BBD although since I've been in India it is impossible to avoid legumes and pulses and quite honestly I didn't realize how much I missed them from my diet. I was feeling great after a good year of a clean organic diet and I did try a bit of organic vegetarian rennett cheese last spring and the results were horrific. When I get back home I will have to do a serious cleanse after falling off the wagon here. I don't think my body will accept animal protein anymore. I was taking a lot of supplements but have always had a hard time taking pills. I am currently taking a good multi, cal/mag, probiotics and digestive enzymes. Oh yes and normally when I am at home I try to eat kelp everyday but I am taking a kelp supplement while travelling. I discovered a natural supplement here called Chandi. Have you ever used it? It tastes great and has gold and silver in it. The people here in Darjeeling swear by it. I also use acupuncture for the days that I might be feeling out of sort. I will try to get an internet connection again but if not, I will give you a call from Kolcutta. If I managed to get some berries I will send them to you as well. In good health Topeka > > Hi Topeca, > Very glad to hear from you. You are right. People in India have their own > natural remedies for many things starting from common cold to any major > diseases. Guest guest
Thanks so much for the reply Topeca. You are a very sweet person. I would've loved to meet you if you could come to Bangalore. Yeah, Ashwagandhadi is something that gives you strength. You can go upto 2 spns a day if you need it.Listen to your body. But dont go beyond 3 spoons twice a day. You gotta mix it with water(1/4 th glass of water). And take it after food.Topeca, something amazing happened today. I want to post it on the group after I see results. I had taken my husband to a very well known homeopath today. Well, this should've happened long back but it is very difficult to get an appointment with him. So, I dint try going to him at all. As soon as he saw my husband's case, he said " so, you have demyelination disease. Ok, we will remyelinate it. Just enjoy life. " I was wondering how he could sound so easy! He said " I know how frustrated you have felt over the allopathic doctors tellin you it cant be cured and you have to go through deterioration and accept life in a wheelchair and that's when people end up in my clinic. " His clinic is full all the time. He said he treated a lady with MS who couldn't see at all and had zero balance. Today, she comes to him riding a two wheeler all by herself and she comes to him only after 8 in the evening which is pretty dark for someone who has vision problems. And you know the traffic in India, if she should be riding around, you can imagine. So Topeca, iI will tell you when we see it happening and it is not like in the US where it is difficult to consult a doc from other parts of the world. I will get you an appointment with him. Homeopathy is all about the info you provide . You can do on a sheet of paper and he will take care of the rest. I still dont wanna get anyone into false hopes until I see it happen. So, ...what do you think??! Keep in touch Topeca. Take care.I will try to get the Hindi name for goji.Roopa > >Reply-To: mscured >To: mscured >Subject: Re: colon and liver cleansing >Date: Wed, 27 Dec 2006 04:27:29 -0000 > >Hi Roopa! > >I am sorry its taken me so long to get back to you.
