Guest guest
Hi, all. I hope everyone is getting on well this summer. (In spite of ....? *smile*) As the subject line suggests, I'm having a hard time keeping weight off. I'm pretty much wheelchair bound soI cannot exercise in any meaningful way,and though I eat carefully and well I seem stuck at the same old unacceptable 30#s more than I should be for good health. Can anyone suggest a natural diet aid, one that won't act as a diuretic? Also, I am taking Detrol to control the pernicious bladder, but I don't like it. It makes my eyes feel dry as corks! I am not on any of the injectbles or steroids and I'm doing all right. So far the pharma cocktail my neuro has cooked up has a better record of staving off relapses than any of the injectables claim to have. Still, I hate taking meds for symptoms. I'd love to find a natural way to deal with weight gain, the bladder rebellion and fatigue. I would really appreciate suggestions or a nod in the direction of a book that would help me break my " drug habit " *grin* Thanks!
Guest guest
Hi , Instead of trying to directly treat MS-related symptoms, I think your wisest course of action would be to employ a comprehensive approach that includes a diet low in saturated fat (like the Best Bet Diet), exercise, detoxification, a low stress lifestyle, food supplements, glyconutrients, Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN), and a host of other things that some MSers have found very helpful.
