A few millimeters.. more or less

I just happened to see a pocket reference guide today that had a

millimeter ruler in it this (----) those four little dashes are exactly

11 millimeters. While I realize our brains are not a tiny line - I was

just amazed that something that small has caused so much pain. Sure,

I'd seen the mri of the herniation but, well, anyway I was just stunned

by actual measurement equivalent.
