Guest guest
So many times I've cried for what wasn't. Today I cried for what was. You should have seen JD's face today. His level of excitement and enthusiasm when he could hear the tones was unbelievable. He even brought the person doing his mapping to tears. In the middle he yelled, " I really can hear it! I want it louder, more, more! " This is when everyone broke down in tears. He was grinning ear to ear, then noticed his TOD was crying. He put his hand up to her face and asked her why she was so sad, then he looked at me, then his dad, and his AVT (who was doing the mapping). He got a puzzled look on his face and said, " Mom? " I told him we were crying tears of joy because we were so happy for him, and because he was so happy. Later when they were testing all the electrodes at once he stopped talking all of a sudden, paused, then said something else and stopped again. He shouted, " I can finally hear my voice again! " . When everything was set and running he started dancing and he said that everything sounded like music, and he danced out to the car.
