Guest guest
This is a true story from our PSAP in Madison Connecticut! For a period of about 22 hours, all calls to 911 within the town of Madison were rerouted to some lady's house. Finally she got fed up and called the police to complain about harassing phone calls from people who claimed they were calling 911. As soon as the dispatcher on duty got this call, she tired calling 911 herself and, sure enough, she got the lady rather than the 911 phone next to her. The local phone company did some testing and acknowledged that, for some unknown reason, Madison's 911 calls were being " rerouted " to this lady's house. The lady did report she did not get any hysterical " my baby is not breathing " calls during this period. Since Madison can be very quiet at times, we all thought it was just a quiet day!! Never say never!! Darrow Loucks Dispatcher 209 Madison PD/FD/EMS
