Guest guest
We had the opposite results. On Augmentin his sugars completely normalized. But that was for one week only. The infection was only part of the problem. Dinner digestion and dinner doses and timing were the culprit. n
Guest guest
n, Re: your son's fluctuating bg levels, and infections... I have noticed in the last 2 years or so when I have had to take the antibiotic Cipro that my bg levels go up significantly and immediately. The infections (usually urinary tract, unrelated to the diabetes) don't seem to affect it, just the antibiotic. Pete, type

Guest guest
I found out I was diabetic when I went to the dr for a severe urinary tract infection. Was told that it was a direct result of the diabetes. Dr. did a fasting glucose in the office (my appt was in the morning and I hadn't eaten anything since 3 pm the day before). Fasting glucose was 200! Whew! the diabetes diagnoses also explained why I was constantly getting yeast infections. " Susie M.
