Hey Don,

I agree with Laurel that 25# is too much in two months. I've been told by "people in the know" that 2 pounds a week is a good goal and more likely to stay off if lost slowly. I know I need instant gratification too, but...

So, I'll try for 10 pounds. At least you can exercise more rigorously than those of us who can't run anymore. (That's a good excuse to start with.)

I've gained around 5-7 pounds this last year and I do notice it's more difficult to haul around the extra weight.

Craig has lost about 12 pounds since he retired by increasing his exercise and modifying his diet, so, surely I can too.

Rosie has/had a Chub Club. I guess we could start PLS Pudgies. (or not)

Don:

Yep, I know what you mean. I too absolutely love my

" comfort foods " , and can polish off a row of cake, just to make sure it is

acceptible company food.

I'll join you in your misery........but, 25# is too much to

lose in 2 months. I'll shoot for 10#. See you at the scales next week!

Don, You lucky devil you. That close to Krispy Cremes. It's 12 miles to the

closest one here. But I have never eaten a bad Little Debbie Cakes. But Oh

those donuts. I will join you in weight loss, It will do us both good,

( and I) but I'll go for 20 pounds. 15 is safer in two months. I got

back from the Dr. today and he put me on Lipitor. My cholesterol is high

and I have a heart blockage, not severe, but enough to listen to the Doc.

We could call ourselves PLS Plumpkins. Anything would be OK. You get things

going and I for one will go for it. I did it before and lost 47 pounds and

everyone ask me if I were sick. So I'm not going that far. I was 222 and

dropped to 175.

OH HOW I WISH I HAD 10 OR 15 LBS TO LOOSE.

LET SEE I HAVE ANOTHER PERSON TO LOOSE. AND HAVE TAKEN OFF 16LBS SINCE OCT

WHEN WE STARTED EXERCISING DON IN THE POOL. (I ALSO DO THE EXERCISES)

MY DR. HAS ME ON DR. ATKINS DIET. I'M NOT HAPPY WITH IT BUT IT WORKS

ESPECIALLY WITH MY INSULIN RESISTANT DIABETES. I LOST 10 LBS AT FIRST THEN

HIT A PLATEAU AND SINCE THE TRIP TO THE HOSPITAL DROPPED ANOTHER 6.MY DR.

MONITORS ME CLOSELY WITH THIS DIET AND I STILL EAT SOME CARBOHYDRATES. I

FOUND BEFORE THAT I CAN'T GO WITHOUT THEM.

COME ON ALONG FOR THE SUPPORT. I CAN USE ALL THE HELP I CAN GET.

LOVE TO ALL

BONNIE

I want to be a plumpkin! My bane is aerobic exercise. My appetite is way

down but so is my activity. I think an exercise plan for mobility impaired

adults would be awesome! Lavon

Don,

I need to lose 10-15 lbs, all in the tummy! My

husband and I are cutting out the sugars. But what I

really need is some excersize. I do stretches but

they don't seem to help the tummy. I'm thinking of

water excercise so I don't get too worn out. Anyone

have any good ones?

Bonnie, Those of us trying to loose 10 or 15 lbs don't necessarily have

just that to loose - however is really that skinny and I

think we should say rotten things about her when she can't hear :-). To

speak for myself- I could drop 80 lbs without even getting skinny! Be kind

to yourself - a 16 lb loss would have me sacrificing goats! Lavon
