CITY OF ALLENTOWN SURPLUS SALE

The City of town is soliciting sealed bids for any or

all of the listed radio equipment. The highest bid received will

determine the award. The City reserves the right to award in the

best interests of the City.

Equipment includes sson and Motorola VHF/UFH mobile and

portable radios. (MPD, MPA, Delta, MVS, MaxTrax) To request a copy

of the equipment list, send an E-Mail message to the City Purchasing

Agency, Diane McKenzie at the following address.

The material to be sold is on an AS IS basis with no

returns. There is no guarantee or warranty as to condition on the

part of the City of town. Under no circumstances will a refund

or adjustment be made because of the material not coming up to the

standards expected, nor will failure to inspect be considered grounds

for a claim. To our knowledge, all equipment worked at the time of

decommissioning.

Sealed bids will be accepted on Monday, July 23, 2001 until

2:00 p.m. when a public reading will be held. Bids should be sent to

the City of town, Diane McKenzie, Purchasing Department, 435

Hamilton St., town, PA. 18101. On outside of envelope mark "

Surplus Sale " .

The material must be picked up and paid for in full within

five (5) days of award. Certified check, money order, cashiers check

or cash will be acceptable unless other arrangements are made with

the City of town prior to pick up.

All equipment is in good to fair condition with most having

the accessories (antenna, mounting brackets, power wires) included.

There are a limited number of batteries that are available for the

handsets (475 MPD, 35 Saber, and 5 MT2000 batteries). Your bid

should include the price you are willing to pay and the equipment you

are bidding on.
