Hi All...I found these on iVillage.com and thought I'd share...I got

a chuckle from some of them, and some I may even try:)

Weight Loss Home Remedies

1. I find if I have wine while I am cooking, I don't want to eat a

lot when the meal is ready. And, it certainly makes the cooking more

fun! --Terry

2. I get naked in front of a full-length mirror at least once a week

to see if I'm keeping in shape. --

3. When I go out to eat, I cover half of my food in something

disgusting and impossible to eat (like Tabasco sauce or too much

salt). --an iVillager

4. I eat Vietnamese grapefruit before each meal; it fills you up and

gives you lots of vitamin C, lovely skin and a super hydrated body! --

5. A weight loss tip my grandmother passed along was the necessity of

napping -- with one's mate. I did not understand until I was grown

that she meant healthy exercise, not sleep! Grandma was ever the lady

about these matters. --Patti

6. I brush and floss my teeth right after dinner. This is not a chore

I wish to repeat twice in one evening, which is enough incentive to

keep me from eating again before I go to bed. --Lynn Cross

7. I keep a rubber band around my wrist and snap it when I feel the

urge to snack. --an iVillager

8. I don't eat anything after 7pm. I save whatever I'm craving at

night for the next morning. During the day, you burn off the

calories, but at night they just sit there! --

9. I pop a plastic grape in my mouth. It keeps me occupied and

doesn't allow me to snack. --Orapol

10. When I need to lose a few pounds, I go on my " mushy foods " diet,

which consists mostly of cottage cheese, steamed vegetables, tofu

with yogurt and pudding as treats. It works amazingly well for about

five days, until you think you will throw up if you see any more

cottage cheese! --Morra

11. My secret is gulping a 12-ounce glass of tap water before eating.

The water fills me up and later, I spend more timing eliminating the

excess fluids than snacking. --andra

12. When I need to lose a few pounds, I eat just apples for three

days. It really cleans out your body! --Gene

13. When I have cravings between meals, I drink a cup or two of tea.

It's sweet enough to knock out a sugar craving and it is extremely

filling. After two cups, I couldn't eat if I tried! --Candace

14. When I have the munchies after lunch, I pop a piece of gum in my

mouth and chew until the craving is gone. --Lara

15. I eat frozen bananas and frozen pudding cups. They make a great

snack and take a long time to eat. --an iVillager

16. I snack on uncooked pasta noodles to keep myself away from junk

food, like chips. It works really well, especially if you have

something to drink with the noodles. The liquids expand the noodles

in your stomach making you feel full fast. And, there are no grease

stains on your finger from a bag of sour cream and onion chips. This

tip is not for someone with bad teeth or sore gums however. --Aubrie

17. Half an hour before eating I drink one tablespoon of cider

vinegar. It is suppose to eat away at any fat when you eat your meal.

I tried it for a month and it works. --Dee
