Guest guest
LOL!!! I was going to say the same thing! However, I think it's normal for all urine to have a slight color to it. If I drank enough water to pee nothing but clear water, I would not be able to eat at all, lol! Water makes me so full; not to mention it makes me feel like the Goodyear blimp! LOL! On the same subject, I wonder when you know you're getting too much water. 100oz did it for me -- I was dizzy and had headaches from lack of sodium (sodium deficiencies cause blood sugar levels to drop). ----- Original Message ----- So while we're on the subject of water and the lack thereof, you can tell if you have not had enough if your pee is ANYTHING BUT CLEAR! Ya see it in the toilet? Ya need to drink more!! It should be clear and not yellow. That's a sure sign. Drink BEFORE you get thirsty because thirst come just before you dry up and shrivel away Seriously, though, if you're not drinking enough there's also the chance of getting a bladder infection, which is a no-goody. Too much water can lead to an imbalance of the electrolytes, in which case you'll have to drink the Jewish Penicillin (Chicken Soup)! Geula!! --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Guest guest
Also, If you take a multi-vitamin, whatever your body does not absorb will come out in your pee, it may not always be clear but it should always be plentiful:) Michele PS...if you are drink too much water it can make you feel almost drunk (the elecrolyte thing Guela said)! > LOL!!! (This is just as dangerous as dehydration.) If your urine is really dark, you are Dehydrated. General advice: If you are doing office work and you get thirst, drink water as soon as you can. If you are exercising vigorously (running, jogging etc.) drink a glass of water before you start. (It doesn't need to be a big glass-- 6 oz is ok.) If possible drink every 10- 15 minutes. If you do intense aerobic exercise at more than 60% or your maximum heart rate for more than 1 hour, drink some sports drinks. This will help reduce the chance of dehydration AND reduce the chance of diluting your electrolyte balance. ( One of the problems with over hydration is that you may dilute the electorlytes in your blood too much). Diluted sports drinks are sometimes better than full strength sports drinks. It depends on the sports drink. Good luck, Lucia
Guest guest
Well, one of the vitamins I take makes mine very bright orange. Not sure which one does it. But I am drinking lots of water, I keep a 32oz mug with straw and sip on it all day. I try to fill it up at least 3 times. > LOL!!! I was going to say the same thing! Guest guest
Unless you take vitamines - should be clear. Ang > LOL!!! I was going to say the same thing! Guest guest
There were a lot of posts about water and my best recommendation is to always carry a water bottle with you -- much like a frat boy wonder how he drank 13 bottles of beer, if you always have water in you hand you will find yourself unknowingly sipping all day and usually end up very healthy and hydrated. As for the clear urine test, it is a solid way of knowing if you have had enough -- but it will be thrown off by alcohol, caffine and salt. I actually wrote an article on " The Wonders of Water " at: http://www.fasttrackfitness.com/ftf2002.articles.htm if you want to read mroe. Hope that this helps, Darren
