Guest guest
treats RT3 dominance best, or are they all just about as bad/traditional? my pcp is a d.o. and seems to know more than she lets on, i really feel like she is keeping me sick to milk my insurance. it is tough calling around and trying to find a doc who knows how to consider symptoms, bloodwork and rx correct doses of which thyroid meds. do endocrines really treat RT3 like it needs to be treated, or alternative docs? a fibro doc did the bloodwork and dxd me, but certainly didn't write the scripts. it all blows my mind, marg
Guest guest
Oddly enough docs seem more willing to treat wqiht T3 than they are with Armour. Guest guest
that is pretty odd, doctor val, because of all the old thinking about high T3 causing heart problems and osteoporosis. i gotta pin my pcp down is she or another doc will find and treat the cause, which i think is autoimmune problems, she did mention starting me on enbrel. so i may go that route, as much as i hate meds like enbrel and all the possible side effects. i wish i could sue em all, honest to god. thanks, marg > > Oddly enough docs seem more willing to treat wqiht T3 than they are with > Armour. > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ >
Guest guest
I would work on getting your T3 right and you might not need the pain meds. I have often heard of people taking T3 and being amazed how much teir arthritis clears up. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
i'm not taking any pain meds at all, only cortef,40mgs a day. i have alot of inflammation going on due to psoriasis, sjogrens and now hashi. i did read that autoimmune diseases cause RT3 dominance, which makes sense if adrenals can't control inflammation, then i will need more than just hc or pred, probably, and why i felt better on the medrol. but i am debating how hard to push upping armour with mostly T3 to see if optimizing thyroid meds will normalize immune function. i also have numerous sleep disorders which aren't/can't be treated with meds due to me being so sensitive to next day side effects, and sleep disorders will cause immune dysfunction, too. maybe i need to stay on the thyroid and sleep issues to normalize immune function, but since what my pcp has been doing is not helping, i may need to try enbrel. thanks, marg

Maybe she knows less than she lets on. That would explain the results. I think very few doctors have even heard of Rt3 and even less, like Val says, know what to do about it.
