I'm fighting depression really bad. Cor company has $

on hold and he did not get the raise he was promised

after his probation period... He took a major cut when

he started though he was assured he would be at more

after the 3 months. The day care is sueing us for

taking the kids out of day care Breech of contract...

$355.00 a month for 5 months... We have been eating

out of our savings and we are now ebating on

bankruptcy. In 5 months we will have a baby and have

no crib ... nothing except a car seat/ booster seat

and crib bedding ... no crib diapers anything. All I

do is cry and I can't eat... I had an eating disorder

in high school and I'm barely getting a meal down... I

understand I need to but I just can't! My ex gets out

of prison Friday so I may have to get an attorney and

have no money for that either! They are not charging

him with molesting my daughter.. He served for the

feds... He is talking about seeking unsupervised

visitation now! I just can't emotionally handle all

this. I just need to vent! I'm sleeping most of the

day... I get up see Cor and the kids off and crawl

back in bed..I don't know how much more I can handle!

Sorry Just needed to vent!

Hi, I am Roopa. My husband too Betaserone for 2 years and believe me, it did

no good to him. Yes he did go thru a flu like phase after he took it and we

dunno what's goin on in our body when we take it.Besides, it DEFINITELY has

lot of side effects.Instead of correcting MS it will end up leavin other new

problems and there's no proof if it has helped your MS symptoms if you

continue to feel worse anyway. Then why drug yourself unnecessarily?? We

regret it and wish we had put in that money on glyconutrients instead. But we

were'nt aware of them then. Now we have been using glyconutrients and we are

in the right direction. Guess you should definitely give up Betaserone and

start glycos.

All the best

Yes , Your first step is to stop the injection with out a second

thought. My husband was adviced to take a good multivitamin supplement,

coQ10 complex, grapeseed extract-400 mg a day,.

He used to suffer with constipation and blurry vision. Which went away after

starting the fish oil-salmon omega 3. We took the Amway salmon omega and

though it did help to an extent, we were looking for a better brand and

thanks to ,for suggesting the Purity brand.

His legs were getting worse from Feb 2006 and we were trying all other

natural ways when we read about the Glyconutrients. We have started him on

them and we are very positive.

Learn about glyconutrients from this site-it has 3 videos that give you the

whole idea.Of course there are more links. It would be of great help to you

if you join 's Glycofriends right away and you will get

all the info you need to be free of MS. We do have endless questions but

being on the group makes you feel safe and will clear most of your

questions.

Dont think twice on givivg up Betaserone and starting on the glycos.

Watch the videos at-victoryoverdisease.com

We are vegetarians and so, we take a lot of green leafy veg. Millet is on

our staple diet list. Fresh fruits and some of the

nuts.-almonds,pistachios,walnuts, pecans.Cashews are to be avoided. Better

avoid caffein.

I am still learning about cleansing. It is important to do it . Take

care. Best of luck

, I dont know whether you believe in meditation. But it really makes

you feel good. We all need spiritual approach towards life at some point.

Dont you agree? Dont you all agree???

If people looked at life in a spiritual way, there wouldn't have been so

much terrorism in the present world! People have only learned to be more

selfish and prejudiced than ever. We have lost the natural gift of

spiritualism. Its high time, we bring it back for our own good and for the

little ones we are raising.

So, , in India, meditation is going on at a regular pace in many

houses.People make it a point to go to the Ashrams where there's a

guru(teacher) who teaches one to get rid of depression and after that, they

feel much better and are optimistic. Yoga is also taught in these ashrams.

This whole practice makes one look at life with much calmness and one is

more efficient. I have relatives going to ashrams and their control over

their health and mind are stronger.

One of my cousins suffered severe depression and he finally joined a 6 days

session at an Ashram. I couldn't believe the change in him!! He is so calm

and doesn't react impulsively like he did before. He is happier in life. I

know dealing with a disease is horrible. My husband gets into such moods too

and I get him to meditate.I do too coz it is hard to handle the trauma

sometimes.

I have a meditation chant on the CD.I close my eyes and sit in the yogic

posture. The chant can just relax me and take me to a serene atmosphere.

Then, when you are done, you feel you can handle things and not give up.

Such ways are better to handle depression than taking anti depression

drugs!!!

Try it .

Amy, you're the kind of person that others look to. You have suggestions

that will benefit everyone. I'd better go start putting on my six layers of

clothes. Now that the sun has come out I need to take advantage of it. I

just wish I could walk around the block, maybe that could be a goal.

Getting outside will be the first step of that goal.

Hi Roopa,

I definately agree. There are many componets to healing, having faith is

just one, a good mental attitude is another, great nutrition, sunshine,

exercise, family and friends, we need all of these things daily to be

healthy in all ways.

Hi , it sounds like you need a hobby. Quit cleaning! My mom has a motto

" dust keeps, it will be fresh whenever you can get to it " . Quit cooking! It

isn't healthy. I don't know what etc. is, but do something that brings you

pleasure. Use this time to learn more about things that can help you and put

them into action. The archives of this group are full of great tips. You can

beat this. It's the Devil trying to get in! Don't let him. Make a list of all

your blessings. Some people can't do as much as you can. I know it isn't just

mental, but dwelling on the " can'ts " instead of the " cans " will make a person

sick. I hope the best for you,

Roopa,

I know you have good intentions, but PLEASE do not give medical advice. It is

dangerous and you could get into trouble doing so. needs to make the

decision to stop taking the injections on her own or with her doctor. We are

all against medications on this group, but we are also not doctors. We can

recommend ideas and share stories, but we should tell ANYONE to stop their

medication!

Roe

There are two things that remarkably work for me - besides a good bout in

the sun.

Firstly - let me qualify - I do not have MS - but a friend does and I

joined the group to send her info and good research.

I take Ginseng - it gives me a mental boost.

There is also a new book out - called The Mood Cure - I take the

supplements mentioned in the book - and I do it as part of a " mind food "

regimen for my brain. it's nice to see that those supplements also help

with depression. I don't take the supplements for depression, just to keep

my mind alert and active.

I saw the book's author the other day on TV and she claims people on this

diet and regimen were cured - even when pharmaceuticals failed to cure

their depression.

Maybe it's worth a try?

http://www.moodcure.com/

PS - personally - I think the America Diet is deplorable - and if you are

not taking supplements - you should be! And .... eat your veggies!

Of course I know she has to talk to her doctor before stopping the injection

Roe! How can she do it just because she hears it from me??I wanted to tell

her what we went through and it would be good for her to consider

alternatives that couldn't do any harm. It goes without saying that she has

to consult her doc to give it up. And it is obviously her choice!

Infact, my husband is still on Baclofen coz he is draggind his leg like

crazy. We are looking forward to stopping it soon. And when I posted a

question on stopping baclofen, I got a good advice that he better stop

it(from one of the persons in the group) That's ok.It is just their opinion.

It is solely left to my husband to decide if he has to continue to take it

or not. I cant hold responsible for it anyway!

I stiil get what you say. Thanks!

Yeah, evryone may not have the same method but the ultimate goal is the same

Eddie--To free yourself of depression. And meditation is something that

makes you definitely, mentally strong and keeps our ever working mind at

rest. There are many ways to beat depression , relax with music, spend time

with loved ones, talk your feelings out, and what ever can relax with.

It worried me when I read in her mail that she feels she is dying every

day. That's a terrible thing to go thru every day.

It takes time to focus on meditation though.

What is your way to relax Eddie??

I'm currently taking lithium orotate for depression. I'm not

completely sure it's doing much for me. The alternative doc

suggested DL-Phenylalanine (sp??). I would encourage caution when

selecting the manufacturer of any supplement. Having made drugs for

a living, there are many short cuts or outright slackerdom items

that can seriously effect what actually ends up in the capsule. One

person on the LDN board had a preference for Solray and said it was

easy to tell when the spouse was switching between brands.

Some of the words to look for on a label are GMP, cGMP, USP, and

PhEur. An organization I intend to check out is

www.consumerlab.com This group claims to do testing on drugs /

supplements on the market.

Hi,

I take Saint s Wort, it stops me from getting depressed, I know people

who have got over panic attacks taking SJW. Look it up, I don't sell or buy

but like to help with things I have found good.

I was on zoloft, but never on paxil..? I was on several different things till

I finally got on something that seems to be working, and that's prozac...however

it's spelled?! lol I know nothing about the natural stuff really, except for

my multi vitamins.

Good luck with finding something though, because Oh how I can relate!!!!

Sincerely,

Nina H.

Have you tried either St s' Wart or Kava Kava? Valerian Root is

also helpful.

Also, look into high doses of Vitamin B complex.

My girl friend tried the liquid zeolite, and after just a few days she told me

that she wished she had all the time back she spend laying on the couch watching

lifetime because she was so depressed. This might be a good alternative. It

detoxifys the body of heavy metal such as mercury and other toxins.
