Guest guest
Who says, besides Mannatech, says that you need all 8 sugars at the same time? They don't occur in nature that way. Guest guest
Hi , Someone is always going to be first in line to discover new things, many besides Mannatech understand and are researching Glycobiology in depth and have been for years. There is still so much to be discovered and understood in this field. The research was going on long before the scientists that are now involved with Mannatech made the discovery. Even the drug companies got on board and Glaxo klein just came out with their first glyco drug. It costs $3500 per month. The other new glyco drug from another company costs $8500. per month, but it will be recommended by the doctors and covered by insurance so that will make it all good. If having all 8 sugars was not important I guarantee there would not be so many companies trying to imitate them. These companies are not stupid, just violating the patent, or lying, one or the other. Here is a list of studies from many sources that might interest you. As far as occuring all together in nature?? That is not something that has ever been said, many nutrients that we need do not all come in one food, that would sure be convenient though. If you would like to check out the research for yourself, you can do so at www.glycoscience.org . An effective way of bringing up the above referenced studies is to type the last name of a doctor involved in the study into the search window in the upper left of the screen. To print articles, click on “download printable document” then click on “I agree”. What you are agreeing to is to use the information in compliance with the U.S. DSHEA law (explanation under legal notices section). If you do not use this procedure, it will be unreadable if you print it. Another site where full copies of many of these studies can be obtained is www.fisherinstitute.org . Guest guest
Hi , I don't doubt that glyconutrients are important. I just wonder if there are synergystic components, that are missing from the powder, that are in the whole food sources of these nutrients. I can also see how other companies would want to imitate a money making product, whether there was any truth to the claims or not. It happens all the time. I've been researching Goji berries and there is so much deception in the advertising of them and products made from them that it's hard to find any real information on their health benefits. There are hundreds of products made that include them, some with total deception of where they are from or how they are grown, besides false claims that they cure breast cancer. Scientists tend to isolate the components and research the values individually instead of the way those components work together. My question is about how glyconutrients, Ambrotose, works without all of the components found in nature. It is an isolated supplement made from several sources. I'm not against Mannatech or Ambrotose. I just have some questions that have never been asked in this group. Thanks for the list of studies. \ indscher (Charter) " wrote: Hi , Someone is always going to be first in line to discover new things, many besides Mannatech understand and are researching Glycobiology in depth and have been for years. Guest guest
Hi , Synergy is something that I have heard the doctors and scientist talk alot about, they know the importance of this. That is why their formulas have been revised many times because its not just about having some ingredients but there has to be the right amount. Like any good recipe you can have all the right ingredients but it will turn out better if you know exactly what amounts to use. The sources used for the powders are mostly whole food sources, obviously processed to some degree but still taken from the whole plant or tree. The aloe is an exception because they discovered that its the inner leaf that has the benefits and the rest of the plant is what is responsible for diarrhea and other less then desirable effects of taking aloe. So that was isolated and stabilized and has proven to have huge benefits just by itself, many have used it, D-Mannose. Its still in supplement form obviously but I do think the researchers do their best in this company to use quality raw materials to start with. When eating raw whole foods, there are still parts of the plant that will be discarded, like the peels, seeds, unless a person is juicing. So I don't know if this addresses your question or not, I am not a scientist, just doing the best I can to help people have faith, hope and take actions for their health.
