Guest guest
This was going to be a " test " using dictation, but it turns out that it's " for real " because I really do need help with a blank. Genus and species are definitely NOT my strong suit... Background: This is an infectious disease consult evaluating the finding of AFB in a bronchoalveolar lavage specimen. Patient has been treated with antibacterial and antifungal therapy so far and is feeling much better than before. Impression is: An AFB pulmonary mycobacteriosis versus contamination. They are suggesting respiratory isolation pending the identity of the organism. Will continue antifungal therapy and will start antimycobacterial therapy after results of the DNA probes of the AFB isolate are known. The blank sounds like " skiller monday " -- I believe the second word is probably mundtii but I can't get the first part: Of note, the BAL on 04/03 has also grown moderate Candida tropicalis, __________ mundtii (s/l skiller munday) and paraphimosis, also Alternaria as well as Alcaligenes species and alpha streptococcus. Your file is now at: http://www.mtmentors.com/nmtc/711c63a3.wav (That's the link to where the wav file is) Thanks, Kim R.
