Guest guest
Hi Valeria, There are a few companies out there that produce toxin-free personal care products. Sometimes not all companies have every product that you want to use, so it really depends on which products you want to use. All the toxin free products cost more than the toxic products, but the toxin free products vary in price as well. I have shopped around for quality and value. Personally, I use mostly VivaTRU toxin free products. I love their shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand wash. At work, I wash my hands frequently, and my hands used to get damaged all the time, until I switched to the VivaTRU hand wash. Their Green Miracle is a healing lotion that I would never want to do without. I use it in place of topical hydrocortizone, or neosporin for bug bites and sore. I also use it for my son's patches of eczema, and any other skin area that needs attention. I also use the VivaTRU body cream, all-purpose cleaner, and laundry concentrate. I use brand of toothpaste, found at most health food stores. They have some kinds with flouride, so be sure to check the label before you buy. I have tried a ton of toxin free deodorants sold at the health food stores. First of all, have to check the ingredient list, since only a few are toxin free. Second of all, they don't work very well. Currently, I am trying out a deodorant from Hamina Bay Candles. It seems to work pretty well. It is made mostly with beeswax, so I have to warm it up a bit before I apply it, and there is the possibility that it could clog pores. She makes some with synthetic fragrances, but I just requested one with only natural scents, and I have encouraged her to change to essential oils instead of synthetic fragrances. Last email I got from her, she indicated that she was trying out some essential oils in her formula. I use Burt's Bees diaper cream, actually his healing ointment, since it has the exact formula as the diaper cream, but cost less per ounce. Make up...I have found only 2 companies that make toxin free make up or cosmetics, OneGroup, and Burt's Bees, and they are both so expensive, that I have decided to just do without makeup, except for special occasions. I stay away from fragrances, maybe a dash of essential oils once in a while. I use the VivaTRU body wash, or hand wash for shaving. The hand wash or the All-purpose cleaner can be used to wash dishes. You can get detailed information about most of these products online. Just email me, and I can send you more info, or links. Guest guest
Hi , If you're interested to go a step further than just non-toxic, you can get certified organic personal care products and cosmetics from my website: www.goodskinforlife.com. These products will detoxify your skin and scalp so don't be surprised if there's a temporary worsening. Once you stop using toxic products (see Cara's ingredient list from a previous post) the residues that are imbedded in the skin and scalp will start to come out. The products are beneficial for your skin and full ingredient disclosure is available for all products. They are all we use in our family (except for my daughter's eye shadow which they don't yet have but it will be available soon). If you have any questions just email me?
