Guest guest
Thank you for your response. I had tried Glyconutrients from Manatech in 2004. Used them for 9 months and honestly could notice no change in my situation. Do you or anyone else have any other suggestions on what I can do to reactivate / stimulate the bladder to function normally. It is quite a serious issue and I will appreciate all the help I can get. Guest guest
Hi If it hasn't already bewen mentioned-Waterfall-D Mannose is meant to be good for bladder problems as are pure cranberry capsules (without the sugar and additives). Guest guest
I would normally have suggested that also but if the Ambrotose did not work it has the D-mannose in it. Perhaps the amounts were not enough to effect a change??? The way the mannose works is blocking receptors sites in the bladder so that bad bacteria cannot take hold. It also has many other beneficial functions, here are a few. * Prevents bacterial, viral, parasitic and fungal infections * Eases inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis * Lupus patients are deficient in this saccharide * Lowers blood sugar and triglyceride levels in diabetic patients finnfan05 wrote: >Hi > >If it hasn't already bewen mentioned-Waterfall-D Mannose is meant to >be good for bladder problems as are pure cranberry capsules (without >the sugar and additives). Guest guest
Hi Debbie, Thanks for your suggestions. After checking the site of OXYTROL I found: Who are the best candidates for OXYTROL? OXYTROL is indicated for patients who are diagnosed with OAB with symptoms of urge urinary incontinence, urgency and frequency. Only your doctor can determine if OXYTROL is right for you. Who should not use OXYTROL? Do not use OXYTROL if you have the following medical conditions: Urinary retention. Your bladder does not empty or does not empty completely when you urinate. As mine is a problem of Urinary Retention I think this medication may not be suitable for me. Thank you anyway for your suggestion. Regards Raj > > YOU KNOW THE PILLS DID NOT WORK FOR ME SO MY DOCTOR PRESCRIBED OXYTROL 3.9 FOR ME (A PATCH( AND IT WORKS.

Guest guest
Hi Dudley Thanks for your suggestion As with OXYTROL the ENURAID also targets incontence, but mine is a case of Retiontion. I cannot void my bladder. This is either due to poor bladder contraction or poor relaxing of the splincter muscle or both. What I need is help to make me urinate properly as opposed to controling my bladder to urinate less. Please advise. Regards Raj > > > Hi Raj, > > You might consider taking Enuraid. Guest guest
Hi Roe, Thanks for you email. Your comments arwe very enlightning. In 2004 I was using Ambrotose, PLUS, Phyt-Aloe, Sport and Catalyst. At the time I had no one with experience who could guide me on the dosage so I took the normal doses as shown on the jars/bottles. I guess you have a point that I may not have been conosuming the correct dosage or combination required, which perhaps let to no noticeable changes. Would you be able to suggest what I can do??? Or tell me who I can consult with regarding these supplements including. Also for clarity, did you suffer incontence due to the inability to urinate? Retention? Please advise. Regards Raj > > Hi Raj, > > I have had bladder issues since I was dx'd with MS. Most of my leisons are in my spinal cord as oppose to my brain. I can say that phytoserols have cured my bladder issues. I am taking a Mannatech product called Plus. I am currently taking 9 a day with NO bladder issues. I know that it is the PLUS in my particular case because when we went on vaction in Aug., I didn't pack enough Plus and ran out on Wed. By Friday, I was having to go to the bathroom every 15 mins and I mean and EMERGENCY - even if I had just gone! When we returned on Sunday, I loaded up on the plus and by Tuesday I didn't have a bladder issue again. So, for me phytoserols work miracles! > What is in plus? Wild yam root, L-Glutamic acid, glycine, L-Lysine, L-Arginine, Beta Sitosterol and Ambrotose (the glyconutrient mixture). So if you didn't want to try Mannatech products again, perhaps supplementing with these indivually may help??? > > By the way, when you had tried Mannatech in 2004, how much were you taking? Were you working with someone that would constantly check in on you to see how your progess (or in your case, lack of progress) was going? Did they change your " recipe " to meet you needs? If you were not, that could be why it didn't work for you because when I first started Mannatech, it didn't work for me either and it wasn't until I starting working with someone that had experience and changed my suppliment intake that I noticed changes! > > Roe > > > ~ Roe > > v | The greatest gift one can give is the gift of health! v | > > U U U U U U > > ~ God is GOOD and Jesus is coming! ~ > > > --------------------------------- > Yahoo! Guest guest
Hi , I am not familiar with LDN. What is it? Also please note that there are many types of incontence. Mine is due to the inability to urinate. So my bladder fills up till full and then when full I suffer from overflow incontence. About 300~500 mg in yoghurt form a day. I also take Vitamin C 1000 mg and 1 Table Spoon of EFA (Omega 3,6,9 and other Essential Fatty Acids) per day That's it. Guest guest
Hi Debbie Thanks for your email. I do not challenge that it works for you. I am happy that you have found a solution that can solve your problem. However I think that our symptoms are different, and on reading about Oxytrol, it is advised not to use it if one has a Retiontion problem as per my previous post. Therefore it is probably not meant for me at this time. Thanks for you suggestion anyhow. Do you know of something that can help me with the retiontion problem, as I am unable to urinate nornmally. Please advise Regards Raj > > I TRIED THE PILLS, THEY DID NO GOOD FOR ME, SO MY DOCTOR PRSCRIBED OXYTROL PATCH AND IT WORKS. Guest guest
Hi Raj, I am not sure what you would call my bladder issues. I am assuming that I was unable to empty my bladder because I would go, and 10 minutes later I would have to go again - but VERY little. This would happen all day long regardless of how much liquid I would drink. Sometimes, I would feel like I had to go and would try, but nothing came out, then like 5 mins. later it would be an urgency again and only a little came out. It was the same feeling I had when I had my children and they gave me the epidoral drugs.(if you are a guy you won't know what I mean). I had tried Mannatech products in November of 2005 and too, just took what was on the package. It was completely ineffective and I thought it was useless. It wasn't until I started working with someone that it became COMPLETELY effective. I am on the " intensive program " where I take 2 tablespoons of ambrotose per day, 9-10 plus per day, the phytomatrix, catalsyt, gi-pro (probiotic) and cleanse product per day (I cleanse 4 times per year). I also take Flax seed oil for EFA. I would advice against taking large doses of Vitamin C - UNLESS it is from a whole food source. Asorbic acid is NOT vitamin C. We do NOT absorb isolated or synthetic vitamins, so unless it is whole food - it is a waste of money. I would be happy to work with you on the Mannatech recipe, if you are interested in trying it again. I KNOW it works as I have ran out - and all my symptoms promptly returned. Guest guest
Hi Dudley Thanks for your suggestion My urologist has asked me not to perform this technique as it along with possibly releasing more fluid from the bladder also increases the pressure inside which travels upwards from bladder to ureters to kidneys. Guest guest
Hi Debbie and , I agree with a drug is a drug. But more specifically for my case it is not overactive bladder. It is the opposite. (Underactive Bladder or Retension in Bladder) And the people who make Oxytrol clearly state on their site clearly state it should not be used by people with retension problems. So what is the basis to suggest this mode of treatment for my condition? Please advise? Regards, Raj Hi ,
Guest guest
Hi Raj, Hyberbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is supposed to be good for bladder issues. For more information, visit http://www.hbotreatment.com/ms.htm I believe, however, that your best bet--instead of trying to treat this or that symptom--is to keep looking among alternative MS treatments to see which ones work for you, e.g., bee stings, the Prokarin Patch, LDN, colloidal silver, etc. Whatever is effective in treating your MS is also going to be effective in eliminating your urinary retention problems. If you haven't already done so, please read my open letter to MSers at http://tinyurl.com/grpm9 I think it contains some pretty good advice. All the best, Dudley http://profiles.yahoo.com/dudley_delany
