Guest guest
I agree wit the others. It sounds like the band just needs a little adjustment. It should not rub her ear. Please keep us posted. Angie and Jenna(STARband grad 1/21/03) new band, won't sleep! Hi all,Kaylee got her Starband on Friday and seemsto be doing pretty well but we started tryingto get her to sleep at night with it and shejust wakes up every hour! It shifts up against her ear. Is it supposedto shift that much? Did everyone else have problems getting yourchild to sleep with it? Maybe the helmet istoo long in the back and tilts her head too much?Should I ask the orthodotist to cut off the bottominch or so??Last night, she kept rubbing her head side to sideand I finally realized she had a horrid rash soI took it off and put on the hydrocortisone allover the ear it was rubbed against and the back ofher head and then she slept without it right away.I had nightmares she had a huge growth spurt withoutit though... sigh. How long will it take her to get used to this?I'm not going to be able to last much longer withoutsleep... Should I try putting her on her sideor on a pillow or anything? Thanks for any suggestions and the comfort!JenKaylee 6 mos - San , CA, StarbandFor more plagio info
Guest guest
I know it isn't "kosher" - but we put an adult sized soft pillow in the crib with Aidan and place him so that the upper half of his body is in the pillow. The pillow tends to countour his helmet and he sleeps better. Deb w/ Aidan DOC 10/21 new band, won't sleep!
