Reflattening?

Hi everyone,

I mentioned this to Willow's Mom, Sandy and thought I would ask

everyone. When we took to his first adjustment, he went from

1.9mm to .7mm. He corrected 1.2mm in only 3 weeks. Although he was

in the normal range Dr. Blecher in Germany suggested we leave it on,

possibly even until he is closer to 8 mos ( he will be 7 months old

next week, the day after his 2nd adjustment) when the head stops

molding as much. I know he is the doctor, but, could his head

possibly reflatten? I guess I just want him out of it, but don't

want to have to go through all of this again. Like I said, we go

next Wed for his 2nd adjustment, but wanted to get some opinions and

comments.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

, my daughter was at 7mm when we started the banding treatment

here in the states. I think you should decide if has rec'd

enough correction for you. Bands are amazing in how fast they

can/do work. I am the one here that believes one shouldn't go by

the measurements to decide whether treatment should be terminated or

not. I think the numbers are subjective and can be very

misleading. Good luck in your decision and let us know when he

officially graduates.

Hello

We are DONE with our treatment and it's soooo great to be rid of the

thing. LOL Willow is left at 1mm which I think is great for the end

result. We also last time when she measured 3mm said we were going

to leave it on longer which she was a little over 7months old. Now

that she is at 81/2months we are done. Dr. Blecher said that he had

NO relapses on Plagio, so I truely trust his suggestions. I do

think that 7mms is still a bit as far as asym goes and would leave

it for a bit longer. You will see that next time you go you will be

closer to asym. As far as perfection goes I disagree with everyone

that believes in this word. There is no such thing as perfection

and we never even wanted that. We just wanted a more symetrical

head b/c of reasons such as bones shifting / jaw problems which

cause dental probs. Plus the facial asym. I couldn't deal with

that. I hope that is closer to sym. this time and that maybe

he will be finished soon. Don't stop too early. Please keep me

updated. I also told Dr. Blecher to contact me if he gets a tricare

denial which I will fight till I turn blue. Told him that the

office know me by my first name already and that I WILL get this

covered (if it is the last thing I do) He kind of laughed at that.

Do you have any new news about coverage on 's band??

Hi ,

I think I'd leave it on him. It's not going to hurt and he may just

receive even more correction. Let us know what you decide.
