Guest guest
Hey Val- Well I just finished reading " Hypothyroidism:The Unsuspected Illness " . This book should be mandatory reading for every doctor. On page 45, they state that there was one patient who had a pulse of 110+ with Hypo symptoms (like me) and low basel temp and her pulse went down after being trated with the right dose of thyoid. (My temp in the morning is about 96.8, but I read you need to get true test on 2nd day of period.) I am currently on 50 mcg of Cytomel. I realize this is low and most people do not get better until on 75+. My question is how would you raise? Should I go slow and add 5 mcg/ week? What dose to you add to? My basel pulse is around 100 in the morning while in bed, raises to between 108-120 during the day. Any idea when the pulse will regulate itself? Does it just suddenly go down one day? How did it work for you? (I thought you went down on thyroid meds and then built up again.) Thanks, Jen
