Zetron Console Information

We are currently building a new communications center. We currently are

equipped with 2 Motorola CentraComm II+ CRT consoles and 1 LED console (for

our blind CO). The city, having a tight fist on the money is saying we need

to come up with a cheaper alternative to the Mot Gold Elite that we wanted

to go to. We are looking at the Zetron as the alternative. If we don't find

something cheaper, we might not get anything at all.

Here are the variables:

The city will probably moving to a iDEN digital radio system when the move

takes place (from VHF)

We have a blind CO and cannot use a CRT console.

We need quality equipment that will last for at least 10 years

We need a user interface that is easy and straightforward to use.

Please reply with all comments good and bad, and any information you may

have regarding these consoles.
