Good morning everyone,

Today is the day I go in for the Stress and Echo tests on my heart.

I would appreciate any prayers coming my way. I do know that the

acid reflux medicine is not helping. If my heart is okay, I plan on

asking about my gallbladder. Anyway, I'll let y'all know.

my scales said 167 this morning. I hope my scales are right --

but they are known to be wishy washy.

Today is my last day of work for the week so I'm not sure how much I

will be on the computer at home. If anyone needs to contact me my

e-mail is rhonda.rogers@... or drogers@.... I will

try to check those each day.

Now I am going to get a little mushy.....I am so thankful for each

and every one of you. This list has changed my life tremendously and

I thank God that I have found y'all and this WOE. Hope everyone has

a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Terry, it is very cold here today -- better bring long underwear for

your visit to western KY.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Rhonda, good luck today, we will be praying for you. Please let us know

as soon as you can what you find out. I will be thinking of you. Great

job on moving that old scale down. Just remember we are all to support

you. Have a great day.

Hi Rhonda: I'm a little late with this, but...I have Mitral Valve

Prolapse (MVP). It's the heart murmur that you have to take

antibiotics for before dental work, operations, etc. A few years

ago, I started having the most awful tightness in my chest, pain and

palpitations. The tightness felt just like having a bra on that was

too tight, but when you took it off, the tightness was still there.

Of course I went to the Dr., they did all the tests and said it was

all related to the MVP and nothing to worry about. They gave me

Tinormin (Atenolol) and that took it all away as long as I was taking

the pills. About every 6 months though (even on the pills) I would

start getting the tightness again and I would go back to the Dr. for

reassurance everything was OK. I kept thinking how can something

like this be Nothing! The Dr.s weren't worried about it in the

least. I guess they were right as I'm still alive & kicking. The

really great thing is after 3-4 months on Atkins all the symptoms

went away! I haven't taken the pills for about 5 months now. Your

symptoms sound very similar, hopefully that's all it is. I also took

Phen/Fen and really worried it did some damage, but apparently not.

Also, I didn't find out about the murmur until I was 40, so you

wouldn't necessarily know you have one without the tests. I also had

the gallbadder problems (removed 3 years ago) and I would take the

heart murmur anyday!

Good Luck, Janet M

Thanks Janet. I'll keep what you said in mind when I talked to the

doctor. It sounds a little like your MVP but it also sound like

gallbladder. So hard to tell.....
