Guest guest
I originally was on 150 of Cytomel when I began the switch back to Thyroid-S. I was able to drop 50 of Cytomel while raising T-S to 2 grain. Since then I have not been able to stop any more of the Cytomel while raising to 4gr of T-S. I have been on 2gr for 4 weeks, 3gr for 3 weeks, and now 4gr for one week. I am becoming more hypo every day that passes. It seems obvious that I must be converting the T4 to RT3. This is my 3rd attempt to go back to Thyroid-S with no luck at all. I would strongly urge those that are not sure of a RT3 problem to not try straight T3 therapy without testing RT3 first. I made that mistake & looking back I do not think that I really had a problem with RT3 because my FT4 level was low while my FT3 was at the top of the range. I really do not know what to do now. Any suggestions? Gale
