Guest guest
> Val..how long were you on hc before you weaned off. the questions page seems to say that its not realistic to expect that. but dod you think one can at least wean back to isocort? Val has said several times lately that she was on HC 3 1/2 years. The way it works is that you get optimized on your thyroid meds and that will allow your adrenals to heal. Then you get off HC and they will be able to handle cortisol needs. The whole body gets run down and weak when there is not enough thyroid hormone. It hasn't got enough energy to heal itself. It gets inflammed, body processes don't work properly, cholesterol goes up, you are tired, hair falls out, and so on. Get the thyroid levels working properly and then you can let your adrenals off life support. Dorothy
