Guest guest
You know Leisa, I have just let go my high priced doctor after 2 years because he rolled me through his machine: huge amount of testing, sold me his vitamins, and ultimately he didn't know anything he purported himself to know about adrenals & thyroid - In fact he did not help me in any way. I am soooo tired of not taking the reins and not seeing where I am heading. You need to tell this woman that you have had all relevant tests (if you check and see that you have)...put them together in a book - allow her to make copies & say perhaps you will be open to taking any tests that have not already been done, only if necessary. Tell her you need a plan of action and a doctor with whom you can build a relationship with; one capable of devising a comprehensive health recovery plan. Be sure she is famiiar with the areas you believe you need her to have knowledge in: e.g. adrenals, thyroid, RT3 proboems, whatever...and have HER answer YOUR questions. Use HER while you are there and get your answers. Write down the Q's BEFORE you go.Believe me, it is far scarier to find yourself palpitating, breathless, with your hair falling out all over your pillow night after night, knowing all systems are failing you with no doctor than being a little afraid you won't say the right things in a doctor's office. She is just like you. Human. She may not even be good. Onc you determine she is worth a crack, and she answers your questions for you - you will feel a lot safer. I'd be more scared of the $175 cash I would pay and not having my Q's written out or getting my $$$'s worth as I have NO INS & JOB now. Please go and take the reins. Don't be as dumb as I have been. I have a free consult today with a dr whos office says she has lots of people on t3 wilsons. She is 175 for the frist hr.Im scared I will not say the right things. I want her to prescribe what I need..but I cant play the game of massive testing. I have paid thousands for testing..I need action!!! He receptionist said she does require lots of tests. I have a recent ft3, ft4, tsh, rt3..hoping that wil suffice. Scared she may think my tsh of .003 was too low. any tips for me...--Y

Guest guest
Val is right, run!!If you can't get HC why not use cream? I don't think I remember if you've tested cortisol? oh, she also said that she doesnt listen to people on line, that shes had experience for yrs and people dont get well with " just " the t3 and adrenal help. Im very anxious to here what everyone thinks, but in the meantime, I made a last ditch effort and a phone consult with my current doctor freeze. Ultimatly, if I could get her be open to giving a higher dose of t3, and maybe at least a small trial of HC, then that would be better off than switching over slowly...with the new doctor and new fees and new tests. I will be so anxious until monday..to see if she will at least understand the reason and approve going up in dosage of t3...if she wont give hc, then I dont know what Ill do! Guest guest
Well, now I'm confused. I was responding to this....Val's response. I'm lost in the conversation. Don't know if you are. Maybe you need to repost. Sorry, if I confused things. Subject: Re: 15 min free consult with wts doctor To: RT3_T3 Date: Thursday, January 8, 2009, 3:24 PM Sorry but I would be running for the door.-- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV wait, did I miss something? Did Val answer me already? I thought she was leaving and couldnt answer. I had a 24 hr urine test maybe 18 months ago, before I started on isocort( but used some adrenal glandulars) I think I was on 1 grain armour at that time..or maybe 1 1.2 grain. Anyway, it showed no detectable epinephrine range was 2-24. Then one month later 24 hr ketosteriods showed 5.3 then range was 6.0-15.0 Then when I was already getting adrenal shots and taking adrenal glandulars I did a 24 hr sortisal which showed everything in range except 12 noon low. But this was while being treated.. Guest guest
I know that Val doesn't believe in s protocol. I believe she has said she's never seen it work. Also, folks on RTH don't think it's legit, if I remember correctly. I'm not totally up on s but I believe he does high high doses or T3 and then stop and starts them again?? That doesn't sound to go to me. If I have that right, doing large amount of T3 all at once seems crazy to me. Oh wow, your right that WAS her response. Im shocked, because this is a very high priced and well regarded cutting edge nd here..AND she is the only dr listed on dr wilson protocal website here..so Im really screwed. well good thing I still have a tiny chance at my dr again. See, are you guys getting it, even now that Ive made a decision not put my tail betwwen my legs...here I go. Terrified . Guest guest
I'll leave this to Val to answer completely since I don't know to much about the protocol. As for HC, you might have to use the cream. Okay, Ive asked several times no answer. whats the difference! Imean I know the aim of wilsons is to go off the meds aftr..but basically its the switchero Im talking about! Changing from armour to only t3 and staying on t3 until either you can switch back, or stay on it at a lower dose. Thats what I think Im discussing with these doctors. They are not comfortable with stopping armour at once. They both want to ease(who knows how slowly and how mant tests) down on armour and slowly add t3( again, I read, more office visits, and more tests!)....also all thre docotrs say N-O to HC. So, if that wilsons, who knows, but there is NO doctor here willing to do it. I think this will be a big battle, getting her to give you what you need. I agree with Val. Give it up. Probably you won't get what you need here. Dorothy
