Guest guest
Hey all, Have I EVER missed being online ... but the thought just occurred that my surgery could be SO successful that I might be in the working force again instead of on disability! I realize that is all in God's hands, but I'm doing the best I can to get better. I don't know if I ever posted to the list or not that I was scheduled for surgery with Dr. Rosner the week of Thanksgiving. He has business to do that week ... I've been rescheduled to December 7th ... which will ultimately be better for us also. I wanted to share what he told me yesterday over the phone when I inquired about possible follow-up care in my home state as far as rheumatology (which field has always treated my FM/CFS). He told me in effect that ALL the symptoms I have are from the stenosis, Chiari ... that I have NEVER had FM or CFS at all. (FM for 13 years and CFS for 4 years) I also have a dx of dysautonomia/NMH (neurally mediated hypotension), and he told me that the surgery is giving marked relief in some of the NMH cases! This isn't really a shock to me as the symptoms are closely intertwined. I may be overly excited ... but then, I can't help but think maybe some portions of missing life may be returned. Maybe ... just maybe I might be able to drive again! Ok ... so I'm dreaming ... but it won't be long before I can tell yall for certain! Blessings to all, JC
