Guest guest
Hi Kim, I'm sorry you can't paint Jaxon's helmet. I've never heard that before. The best stickers to use are clear back ones and seal them with mod podge. When you're ready to change the design just peel off the mod podge, the stickers come off with it. How is Jaxon adjusting to his helmet? --- In Plagiocephaly , " kasaint_2 " <kasaint_2@y...> wrote: > My son Jaxson, who is almost 5 months old, received his Cranio Cap > yesterday. Guest guest
Kim, Hmmm, I just posted this a bit ago and it ddidn't show up, so hopefully it won't come out of hiding and be a duplicate! I just wanted to say that stickers and be really cute too! I'd definitely go with the clear backed ones-- " me and my big ideas " was my favorite brand. They've got every possible theme and they are very kid like. The best letters are the brush letters by " Stickopotamus " and they come in lots of prints. You can get them online or in craft stores. I also used mod podge--usually three coats over a couple days. Guest guest
Kim, I'm so glad you posted... I was just hoping to hear from someone using the CranioCap, because we haven't heard about it in a little while! Congratulations on receiving your CranioCap! I can't help with the decorating since we ended up using aggressive repositioning only for our daughter Remy, but your mentioning of " heating the helmet " to adjust it really caught my interest. I would love to hear more about that process when you have your adjustment... if you have time, could you describe it for us? Here's to happy rounding! Take care, Christie (Mom to Repo'd Remy)] --- In Plagiocephaly , " kasaint_2 " <kasaint_2@y...> wrote: > My son Jaxson, who is almost 5 months old, received his Cranio Cap > yesterday. Guest guest
I used stickers on Makenna's helmet and they worked fine. I, personally, liked the stickers with the clear backing. They are made of paper.... I don't know what they are called. Hopefully someone will chime in that knows what I am talking about. They come off really easy (but not too easy), so you can change the helmet when ever you want. I wish I could be more help. , Makenna LLUMC grad. -- In Plagiocephaly , " kasaint_2 " <kasaint_2@y...> wrote: > My son Jaxson, who is almost 5 months old, received his Cranio Cap > yesterday. Guest guest
Hi Kim. It is me. Sandy (Willow's Mom) from the tort site. This is too funny. She has a CranioCap and I also have been told NOT to paint the helmet, only to use stickers. Maybe it's something with this brand not to paint. I didn't even ask why b/c I wasn't going to paint it anyway. Can I ask what Mod Podge is... lol Oh and you said that Jaxon's helmet looks just a bit different and is a bit bigger. I believe it is b/c your son's head is smaller. I saw a bigger baby in the craniocap and it really only looked like a band around his head. I think it is where the flat is and how big the babies are. g'luck to you.
