Guest guest
, I think he made a mistake on the Flonase and meant Flovent, as Flonase only comes in 50 mcg, but Flovent comes in 44, 110, and 220 mcg. It turns out that the generic name for each is the same, but Flonase is a nasal spray used for rhinitis, whereas Flovent is an MDI used for asthma and taken by mouth. With her COPD with asthma exacerbation and no mention of sinus problems, I would say that he meant Flovent. I am thinking the other might be nystatin, but he doesn't mention a fungal infection so it's hard to tell. Margaret >>> " tessbear " 04/12/01 04:38PM >>> s/l *niostatin* p.r.n. and Flonase *110 mcg.* I can't verify this dosage on the Flonase. Pt's history includes diabetes, irregular heartbeat, arthritis, peptic ulcer disease, COPD with asthma exacerbation, GERD, and congestive heart failure. Guest guest
, For the first one, I think you are looking for Nystatin. Flonase, per Drake and Drake, comes in 50 mcg doses, so not sure about the dosage you have listed.
