Guest guest
Hi everybody! Just wanted to share a little information on MRI's that most of you may know, but others (like me) may not: (it may be different at various places) CFS Flow Study (CINE) MRIs are approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes Spinal Study (entire spine) MRIs are approximately 2 hours This caused some problems for me as I was only scheduled for a 1/2 hour appointment, and had taken meds for claustrophobia, but only enough for a half hour!! So with all that - I only had the CFS Flow Study - which showed my flow is really blocked with a lot going in and and only a trickle coming out (anyone know why it can go in but not come out of the same space??). But I wasn't able to have the Spinal MRI to look for a syrinx or any other problems. I scheduled my decompression for January 3, at University of Chicago. I will also be up there on December 30 for a meeting with Anesthesia(930), the Spinal MRI(1100), and Dr. Frim(100). If anyone will be up there, let me know? Sorry this got kinda long - also Suzanne - thanks so much for that surgery and post surgery information - it *really* helps to know what to expect! Keri in Indiana ACM I (13mm) trying to remember that it'll be all good =)
