Guest guest
, it sounds as if just needs an adjustment. Raw spots aren't good at all. It is very common to have to go back for quite a few adjustments in the first few weeks of treatment. I hope they are able to fix it before it becomes raw. Let us know how it goes today. Guest guest
, is in the same type helmet as and he had the same thing happen on the side of his head. We went in for an adjustment too. That area had a bit of the lining that was rough. I think it was just friction more than anything. I also put a little bit of Hydrocortisone cream 1% on it once a day after his bath for about a week - that is what seemed to help more than anything. Let me know how it goes today and you hang in there! The results in the end are worth it! The period of time he will have the helmet on doesn't even compare to the benefits he will receive that affect the rest of his life! Guest guest
, It's not normal for sores to occur. His band most definitely needs an adjustment. It's really important that you keep his helmet off of him until his sore is completely gone AND his helmet is adjusted. Please let us know how you make out at your appt. > has had his helmet now for almost a week and today was probably > the worst day we've (I've?) had with it. Guest guest
Poor ! It does sound like he needs an adjustment for sure. I'm glad you're keeping it off him. It definitely shouldn't be hurting him like that. We did have trouble with a sore from Hannah's second band, but a little shaving did the trick. Let us know how the appt goes. , mom to Hannah, DOCgrad Cape Cod, Ma > has had his helmet now for almost a week and today was probably > the worst day we've (I've?) had with it.
