Guest guest
Dear Rainbowsemail, Thanks for your powerful, insightful recitation of your diabetes history. I don't know why it is, but many people seem to exhibit eye problems *after* they have improved their control following years of poor control. I guess the damage is happening all along, but doesn't easily reveal itself. The blame goes to your doctor for not diagnosing you promptly and properly. As you yourself have proved, you had it in you all along to do battle with the 800-pound gorilla. Several surgeries helped my mom's vision significantly. She was able to go years with laser corrections, and still had partial vision at the time of her death, at age 81. You are certainly on the right track. (Sorry, though, that your co-workers are being such jerks.) You certainly have the admiration of this group, and you deserve it from everyone else. Keep your head up ... don't sweat the small stuff. (Everything is the " small stuff.) Hugs, Susie
