Guest guest
Hi Cheryl: Many of our members baby's had CT scans done & many were sedated. My daughter had only Xrays done, but CT scans are much more accurate from what I've been told. Has he been casted for his STARband already? Good luck. Guest guest
Hi Cheryl, My baby did have a CT scan and wasn't sedated. I asked that she not be sedated and they respected my wishes. Most babies here that were sedated for their CT scans did well. --- In Plagiocephaly , " ybcheryl " <ybcheryl@y...> wrote: > Hi. on had a skull Xray which shows all the sutures are open, > but his pediatrician still ordered a CT scan. Guest guest
Hi My son had a CT when he was 4 mos. old. They were going to sedate him (using chloral hydrate) but he had a cold at the time so they didn't sedate him because they were worried about him being sick. I was nervous about him being sedated anyway. Turns out he was awake during the CT scan and didn't move at all. They strapped him down to the table and he just watched the light at the top of the machine and sucked on his pacifier. We were very happy it worked out and shocked that he was so still duing it. Guest guest
Cheryl, my daughter just had 3-D X-Rays done to rule out cranio. I have heard of others that have had to have CT scans and the sedation is merely to keep them still so that you don't have to subject them to yet another scan. I'm sure everything will work out just fine. Keep us updated.
