We just got off Gus' DOC Band after 16 weeks. He is also 11 mos. He

still has a fairly noticeable flat spot, but nothing like it was when

we started. We talked about it and decided that with more growth and

with hair, it will not be noticeable at all to the " general public " ,

so we decided to not do a second band. I don't think anyone has a

perfectly round head. We would have gone w/ a second band, though,

if he had a bunch of facial assymmetry. There are a lot of parents

on this board who saw a lot of correction in their second bands, so

you will probably get both sides. When it comes down to it, it's

your decision and if you are uncomfortable w/ his head shape you

should probably go with the second band. Good luck in your decision!

HI - Xavier was banded at 4 months and ougrew his band by

the time he was 6 months so we did decide to go with a 2nd band. He

is now 8.5 months old and gets his band off in a week! We have really

seen great correction with the second band though there is still a

slight flat spot in the " trouble " area but noone else but me noticed

it. You can look at his before and after pics in his album " Xavier " I

posted his pics from before any banding and after the 1st band. Good

Luck!
