Unfortunately this product only contains one type of lactobaccillus.

We need 13 types in order for the body to effectively produce new

colonies in the digestive tract. Because it is in a capsule,

absorbtion will be limited unless you open the capsule first. The

bacteria need to be in the mouth area as well as that's where

digestion starts. A liquid will always be better.

Aloe is excellent for digestion but needs to be fresh and cold-

pressed. Once it is dried there will be little benefit. You'd

probably need to take about 50 capsules to get results from the aloe.

Eating a piece of aloe plant will yield better results (peel the green

part and don't eat the yellow runny stuff which can cause diarhea).

I've given it to my pets when they've been ill and they love it but

won't eat it if they feel good.

Hope this helps. I hate to see anyone waste money on stuff that

doesn't work. I've done lots of that myself! 10 years of

experimenting with supplements for stomach/bowel pain in my daughter

before finding out about why most probiotics don't do a thing. Aloe

juice is good too if you find a good one that isn't clear. If it's

cloudy you will know it hasn't been pasteurized.

Yes, a small amount will help but the problem is that bacteria will

die off daily and especially if you are not on a 100% raw food diet,

you need to replace your bacteria almost daily. Any sugar,

caffeine, meat, dairy, etc will contribute to an unhealthy bowel

environment and will cause bad bacteria to grow. Meat just rots in

the bowels because the transit time is so slow. Try not eating meat

and dairy for a few weeks and you will see what I mean. I use a

probiotic daily and after a few weeks I was able to eat anything

without my digestive enzymes.

There are 13 strains of lactobaccillus and they work together. We

tried many probiotics for my daughter who suffered with severe

bowel/stomach pain and only when we used one with all 13 did she

have an improvement. Her 10 year old pain vanished in less than 24

hours.

When we lived in Germany, it was pretty standard for doctors to

prescribe a probiotic after antibiotic therapy. The probiotic would

be taken for about 2 weeks so I don't think that one capsule will

help. We have about two kilos of bacteria in our bowels so if they

are out of whack it will take some time and a lot of healthy

bacteria to fix that up. It can be done quite quickly with the

right product though. Usually in under a month with two months for

a very severe case.

My daughter had pneumonia when she was 3 and had to take

antibiotics. The probiotic was given but I don't think it helped as

she always had stomache pain after that.
