Guest guest
Stop! Enough! I thought I wanted to move there before this, but all that rain makes me want to leave for the Pacifc Northwet tomorrow! I love rain, cold and damp. You can keep all this sunshine, dry air and hot temps! Along with all the millions of people on the road all day long... -- Pasadena, CA Re: Pacific Northwet! Ok fellow Pacific Northweter's, we must be careful here. If we keep telling everyone how wonderful it is here, no one will be left in California. Guest guest
Well, if you don't like the crowds, don't come to Seattle, as we are ranked 3rd or 4th worst traffic in the nation!! Just too many people have moved here in the last 30 years... Re: Pacific Northwet! Stop! Enough! We can always remind folks that we have 280 days of rain and/or overcast every year. And that summer doesn't usually start until after July 4th or later... And ends in late August... Guest guest
Hi, all. I am still residing in Northern CA. About 15 miles from the state capitol. I was born and raised in Southern CA., but much prefer the Northern part of the state. I would love to live in Oregon or Washington, tho. I really like the rain! My youngest son and his family are stationed in Germany, until 2004. They expect to return to Denver, and I am seriously considering moving to be near them. They would like me to be nearby, as I grow older. In some ways tho, I dread giving up easy access to the ocean! Sheila {:-D
Guest guest
Gee Carol, I must drive " thru " your old homestead several times a week when I take that freeway! LOL! They're now trying to put a second freeway thru So. Pasadena... but we're fighting it tooth and nail. All those nifty old bungalows and Craftsman homes would be torn down. The whole city has been declared a National Historic Landmark to prevent the freeway from coming thru. , who just took a civil service employment test today for a neighboring city. Hmm... maybe I should go for a federal job and get transferred to the Northwest?? >you wish!!! LOL I grew up there, lived on Las lunas st, near orange grove st, then later on sierra grande st near the comm college. Was torn down years ago for the free way. carol eGroups Sponsor Public website for Diabetes International: http://www.msteri.com/diabetes-info/diabetes_int
