Guest guest
My new doctor this past time i met with him I mentioned my bowl troubles and he gave me some medicine to get my bowls more regulated. It some what works but without not having the muscles in that area not working correctly it seems to cause more trouble. I got back to see him again in 3 months. Bill Re: therapy for your MS? Bill, you should mention this to your doctor. Some PT may help you. I have trouble with bowel trouble and thought maybe I am not alone with it. I have tried changing my diet and it has helped some but my main problem is my MS seems to cause me trouble mainly in my waist area and also my legs since I have no balance. Thank goodness I can still walk even using my walker. My big trouble is the muscles in that area seem to not work any more to be able to move the bowel through my body to push it out. I hope this makes since. I have recently tried doing what they had my wife do after she had our sons which is kageling. I don't know if this is the correct word or not. Judy told me that was a good idea but I was wondering if any one has another way that has helped them out. Bill
Guest guest
Bill, the dr put me on Miralax, It's a daily laxative to make me regular but it's not supposed to have the cramping. in Texas cassandra workmn wrote: thanks fo sharing this sharon.sorry you are dealing with this bill. Sorry, don't mean to make light of it but we must laugh for our sanity, don't you think? Where are your lesions, Bill? A lot of people with Transverse Myelitis have a very difficult time with bowel 'evacuation' because of the muscles not working any longer. It might help you to join the Transverse Myelitis group online. They are a great group and you can ask absolutely anything and get a good answer. I was first dxed with Transverse Myelitis and that group was my salvation. They were wonderful. When I've had MS stuff happen that others here don't have an answer for I have turned back to the TMIC (Transverse Myelitis Internet Club). Guest guest
My new PCP put me on that and it works but too well for me. My biggest trouble is I can't get the bowl to move well through my body. Getting a bowl movement out is like trying to get out the last amount of toothpaste out of the toothpaste holder. That is the part I am hoping doing some kind of work out in that area might help. That wreck was a great way to start the race season. I would love to go watch the Nascar race here at the Brickyard but the heat would be terrible for me. Judy and I always tried to make it for Pole day at the Indianapolis 500. If you ever watch the truck races Sutton has MS. Here is some info from here web page. She must be able to tolerate heat very well. I know I would not be able to survive a 1\2 hour. Bill Welcome to the new SuttonRacing.com!NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series fan favorite Sutton has a new online home!
