Post-op Dr visit today

Hi to all.

As many of you know, my surgery was on Dec 11th. I went to the Dr

today for my first post-op visit.

They removed the stapes from the incisions, and said that they look

as though they are healing very well. They put some external strips

to give them another few days of assistance.

They also removed the catheter. Luckily, I was not one of those

people that have everything seized up on. On the other hand, it may

be three months to a year or longer before everything improves to

where it will ultimately get to in regard to bladder control. At

this time, over the last few hours, it does not look real bad, but

there is some leakage.

The Dr removed any driving restrictions.

Unfortunately, he said that I still have to wait 30 days or so before

he would release me for wild monkey sex. Oh well, at least my wife

is happy about that...

I go back on Jan 14th to give blood, and will meet with the Dr on Jan

17th to review the first post-op PSA.

May your treatment be an easy way to success, with a cancer free life

going forward.

Best regards,

Ted G.

Hey Ted,

Did you get a lab report back? Wondering what it showed. My doc

gave me no staples, only the strips. They all have their own

techniques. I hope you incontinenece is at a minimum. I was

fortunate in that regard but I have had two nightime incidents, both

after I drank coke, so no soft drinks for me. I really hope you can

have wild monkey sex after a month. I am 5 weeks post op and my

little man is still sleeping.

Have some great holidays!

You are probably correct. However from a Man's prospective why do you

think there are so many men afraid to have it removed? After I made

the decision to have it removed so I could be here for my Grandkids

my wife fully supported it. There was several people that told me

they had family members that on their death bed they said they wished

they had decided to have it removed instead of other treatment. So

for some one that takes the chance to have it removed and the only

step in the recovery period left is to be able to have sex again,

it's kind of like a 299 game in bowling or getting tackled on the 1

yard line going for a touchdown. You need that last pin or yard to

feel complete again.
