Dr. Koeleveld told me my acm was " mild " and he doubted it was causing all of my symptoms (memory lapses, choking on drink, burning spots in left foot and back, tingling in all extremeties, numbness in right foot, cough/laugh/sneeze headaches, vision blurring, etc). He said the cough headaches were definitely acm, not the other. He said it looked like there was minimal csf flow due to the blockage. He did offer to do surgery which would include removing a part of my lower skull, the first vertebrate and part of the 2nd and inserting cadaver pericardium. Debi suggested I get a consult with Dr. Rosner, and I just might. Anyone that has had any dealing with him please fill me in on him. I also would appreciate your help in understanding all this confusion. > Anelisa in NC > ACM I 8mm > CONFUSED! Anelisa, I would definitely run as fast as you can from the nsg that said the ACM wasn't causing those symptoms. You don't want him doing surgery on you if he is obviously misinformed, and not all that experienced with ACM. I did not have surgery by Dr. Rosner, but I would agree with Debi that you schedule a consultation with him. Many people in our group have had dealings with Dr. Rosner, and he is very experienced with ACM. Good luck, Sheila
