Guest guest
Hi All, I just skimmed through the 300+ messages I had since I last checked. Welcome to all the new members : ) na had an adjustment today. She is growing and rounding. Her ears have started to improve!!! That is the good news. The bad news ... I'm not sure what is worse so I'll just start at the top. She's growing out of her band! We knew this might happen early on because of her frequent growth spurts (miss 95th percentila). She has been in it 3 weeks. She will lucky to make it to 4. I'm supposed to keep a close eye for red spots. They did all the adjusting they could today. She is casted next Tuesday for band #2. We would have cast today but with the holidays she might have been too long between cast and fit. So, she will most likely go at least a week out of her band. Does this mean we go back to repo for a week??? 2nd bad news for the day ... insurance denied our appeal for the same reason as thef irst time "contract exclusions". I feel like it was a waste of time. I'm not sure why we couldn't go directly to my company since we are self insuranced and we were initially denied on the contract exclusion. So, now we are denied and we have to pay for band #2. I'm so furious but I'm preaching to the choir. They pay to treat smokers who get lung cancer. They will pay for any other newborn deformity. They will pay to treat diabetes and heart disease due to the over-indulgence of adults. I'm at my witt's end this evening. To top it all I've recently gone back full time, but having to take one vacation day a week to make the 6 hour round trip to CT. We're restructuring at work and they added a whole other job to my current responsibilities (but as some would say - at least I get to keep my job). I have a HUGE project due this Friday which I still need about 100 hours to complete. So needless to say I am very stressed. I can't sleep, I have an almost constant headache and I'm loosing my appetite (maybe that will get rid of the last 5 baby lbs). My husband is not being very supportive. He works hard but since the baby was born he has probably added 30 minutes to his day for her care. I can't even begin to add up my hours. He's all upset because he may actually have to take her for her fit since I have a business trip that whole week. I am so frustrated - thanks for letting me vent. na/DOC/10-27-03 @ 4.5 mos/SC (#2 tenative 12-9)
