Guest guest
Hi Listmates.. I know many of you use Kirkman products and their recall letter seems to have gone out to physicians and to wholesale distributors but that may not reach many who order from them independent of their physician or who do not use a doctor who was notified. I have written twice this week to ask for the following information: What products are affected? What testing has been done on ingredients.. both by Kirkman and/or independing labs? What is tested for? What changes have been made? I regrettably have not yet had any response to either email. I am sure that they are overwhelmed with calls and I still hope to have the courtesy of a reply that I can share with you next week. Today I contacted a company who has worked with them and they have called to get any info possible and will forward that to me. If/when they get return call, I will forward any info. Antimony is a common toxin for our children and I am personally so saddened that any children would have gotten exposure to one of the very toxins that we work so hard to eliminate. This is my personal opinion and not that of this list...I would encourage anyone who has used their products to discuss this with your physician and consider whether testing is in order to confirm your child's status. I would hope to have more info to post next week and will share anything that I find out. Best Wishes, Moderator

Guest guest
I agree.. my son got his high Antimony from his mattress and pj's and we were not yet even on supplements as I did not realize we had a problem when that initial exposure was happening. I think families are aware now to look for this as a possible type of exposure but would not be expecting to get exposure from supplements they are using to treat an affected child. Thankfully some alert physicians treating our children were sharp enough to see a trend they could not explain and work to determine what was different/triggering it. I am grateful that they did notice it so that it could be tracked to exposure beyond what normally was happening, Moderator > > > > > > > Thanks for pointing this out.
