Guest guest
Two things tonight- Yesterday I had an abscessed tooth removed- no big deal except I acted like a loon (as I always do in a dentist chair- white knuckle bit- lots of eye rolling) -procedure was done beautifully and no complications except my walking has deteriorated hugely as has my typing. I am back to pre pump functioning. Do you think just the few hours of stress could do that? Do you think it could be the antibiotics? Those are my only changes in the time before the deterioration. Also- with all the talk about Ohio this summer - which I do intend to try and attend- does anyone else want to see a more southern meeting? I could try to set one up here in San or perhaps Joann could be drafted and I could help with Austin but I really wonder if Dallas might be better... I know a hotel that gives good convention rates (don't know if they'd let us stay but can't hurt to ask)- I lost the name and address of the , Texas PLSer but the hotel is the Clarion on ... Might want to try for spring break before the heat gets too bad...What do you guys think? Lavon
Guest guest
I'm at 88 mcg/day now. I was on 40 ml/day orally and thought 80 would be my magic number, but my doc told me yesterday at my refill that I would probably need to keep getting adjustments thru the next year. I am pleased with how I'm doing so far. Thank goodness I had a neuro that recommended this implant. How is your double vision doing? Has it eased off a bit? I sure hope so. Guest guest
, I still have the double vision ... although it seems to be improving. I am now up to 380 mcg/day (Wednesday). The dx says she thinks between 400 and 500 will do. They will continue to adjust until I get too limp and then back off. We may be getting close. She says she has a patient on 1300 mcg/day. I saw the physical therapist (3rd visit) and he was amazed at my progress. (I also saw an Occupational Therapist for evaluation - she said that typing, dressing myself, taking care of myself, and going to work were the best things I can do and did not recommend any special exercises.) I am doing my exercises regularly and really am moving better (walking) and I'm starting to see a real difference in my manual dexterity (especially typing) and in my voice (I can sing some again). And I am feeling so much better mentally ... the fog is gone, thoughts and expression clearer, etc. and I are really pleased ... best thing we've done in addition to building a handicap-friendly house.
