Hi all,

What is the relationship of hypothyroid/ adrenal issues to hypoglycemia? It has been suggested to me that my insomnia might be related to hypoglycemia which is related to hypo. I've heard that cortisol helps with blood sugar. Anything else? What are others doing for this? I sweat all the time and it's not estrogen related. Is this hypoglycemia?

If your adrenals are weak, you don’t

have enough cortisol. Cortisol helps keep blood sugar at optimum levels. If you

don’t have enough cortisol at night, your body may release adrenaline to boost

blood sugar. Adrenaline raises heart rate along with blood sugar. It’s

common for hypoglycemia to cause a person to wake in the night.

I take 5 mg HC at bedtime, which helps me

sleep.
