Very few people here are using the protocol.

Please see the following, for links to that information:

Hi -

I’m on the protocol, but it’s too early for

me to report results. That said, I am feeling somewhat better so far (better

energy most days, less appetite, brighter mood). I’m in the middle of my

first round, and my temps have come up a little, though they are a bit

unstable. I’m taking 35 mg HC (equivalent – 5 mg prednisolone, 15

mg HC), and though my temps aren’t totally stable, I hesitate to increase

the HC any more. It’s important to take the SRT3 on an empty stomach

(according to the Medaus pharmacist) and to take the medicine exactly on time (less

than positive results are correlated with not being exact with timing).

Your best source of info is Dr. ’s

site http://www.wilsonssyndrome.com/index.html

-- most if not all of the info in his books is available on his site.

He recommends Medaus Pharmacy for

compounded sustained release T3, and I gather the compounding process for this

is a bit tricky (and some big expensive machine is needed). You might contact

Medaus for info on ingredients: http://medaus.com/.

The capsules are small – probably 250 mg size regardless of the dose.

I am considering trying Dr 's method

for getting rid of a suspected RT3 problem. I would like to hear from

anyone who has tried this method and also anyone who takes sustained/slow

release T3.

For anyone who has tried Dr 's

method I would like to know :

(i) After the temperature has been

stabilised, how long does it have to remain stable before weaning?

(ii) Dr talks of cycles of

treatment. What is the definition of a cycle?

(iii) Is there a time limit on a cycle?

For the SR T3 I would like to know :

(i) What size are the capsules?

(ii) What fillers are used apart from the

HPMC.

(iii) Do the capsules contain small round

granules or just powder.

(iv) Any other information you can think

of that might be useful.

I need this information to get the T3

compounded. I live in France and all this stuff is like missionary work

in the health care community. I have to find out everything myself

to tell the health care workers what to do..

I would be very grateful for any

information anyone could provide.

Okay..if we are all on t3 only..and have switched from other meds..how is that different from wilsons?? Is it only because we dont plan on stopping thyroid meds?>>Dear All,>I am considering trying Dr 's method for getting rid of a suspected RT3 problem.
