As followup to some posts recently, I finally heard from my neuro today and his opinion of LDN. While he appreciated the material I sent to him and he doesn't think taking LDN would present any danger, he doesn't want to prescribe it for me. He doesn't want to prescribe the medicine based on anecdotal evidence. He would prefer to see clinical evidence that it works.

I did mention the upcoming clinical trials at UCSF and he said he knows about them. And, he thinks it would be great if I try to enroll in those.

I think he gave a fair enough response. And, that he encouraged me to try to get into the program at UCSF is fine. I'll see if there is a way to get into the trial at UCSF. If that doesn't work, I will see if my primary care physician will prescribe LDN. As my neuro doesn't think there is a risk to taking it, I might as well give it a try one way or the other.
