Our daughters hair is finally growing in now that she is wearing the band. I think this is happening because the head isn't rubbing against anything when she is laying on her back.

can you use baby lotions on the heads as long as its dry before you put the bands on?

did anyones baby loose their hair from the bands corbyn is just now growing in his bald spot

didnt know if he would lose the hair over the area the band is covering?

Hilly,

I have heard of parents cleaning the bands with baby shampoo, but my

orthotist (and the majority of other ones) do not recommend cleaning

them with anything but 91% alcohol.

The bands should be scrubbed/cleaned once a day, but the

perspiration should be wiped off more often than that.

The only shampoo that I have ever used for my son is the Baby Magic

Lavender and Chamolile Calming Milk Wash. It helps him calm down,

does not irritate his skin, and smells nice. If you like the

baby shampoo, then go for it.

My son did not lose any hair wearing his band. In fact, he just got

his first hair cut, and the stylist commented on how much hair he

had for an 11 month old.

corbyn has a bit of hair on top not much but he hsa a very fine layer of hair around his head minus his baldspot i didnt know since ya know he has a baldpsot form laying on the back of his head and rubbing it if the bands did the same ting, not that is matters just curious

thanks for the help i did get the new berryscnet by i think gerber not sure i would have to look

i typically have a ton of bath and body lotions for the kids after their baths i lather on the mild scented lotions so they dont smell like wet dogs or little boys it dont last long with th eolder kids but it helps keep their skins moist they tend to have flare ups of exzema in the winter, corbyn hasnt shown any issues with that but i put it on him to make him smell yummy can you still use them on their heads ?

or should not use any lotion on their heads

thanks sorry for the questions

I have never heard of using baby shampoo to clean the helmet. I was just told alcohol - so maybe someone can help you with that. We clean his helmet 3x a day and never had an odor problem. I believe lotion is ok as long as it is dry when you put the helmet on.

Yes - Aidan's hair thinned out considerably.
