Guest guest
hey folks, i think ron (?) really helped me out so that i now have a *reply* function on my wacma page; before i could post, yeh, but i could not *reply* to a post; weird! anyway, need to relate some dr/group coverage/complaint/patient's rights type stuff to you all, especially the meek ones; had an experience with a specialist who basically wasted much of my time and finances, but had the *noive(nerve)* to tear into me with verbal abuse and rage when i requested a *readable* copy of my skimpy record in his possession; let me just say that i have *run into* some ugly exchanges in my life, even performed some in my darker days (sorry!), but have never ever ever heard a medical professional, a doctor, talk to me like he did this morning on the phone; keep in mind i saw this pulm med spec just once! well, what a number of people on this planet have had the misfortune of finding out the hard and hungarian way is: do not mess with the szabo! i have always been the one to find and fax a ceo, or president, or governing body, or whoever, in minutes of a horrible experience where someone goes way way way out of bounds with me! being a computer/electronic tech for over 35+ years, and an internet research artist (ar-teeest!) by experience and desire, can put the offending personage in extreme harm's way! anyway, i recommended to all persons to stick up for your basic rights and decency, concerning the med profession, and in those rare occasions when the dr goes way overboard, in practice or in words, consider this: within a few minutes, i had the correct and significant names and fax numbers, so a two page, clear and concise letter of complaint, horribly detailed, yet gramitacally and scripturally (is that the right word?) constructed was faxed, in mass to: our group health provider, which happens to be united healthcare, and is a great blessing to us! the state of texas board of medical examiners, compaint department my own precious primary care doctor who had first referred me to the weird dr! so, i recommend everyone keep current with your own copies of med records, i now carry a folder to every appt i go to; and report the really bad individuals to the appropriate persons! btw, it so happens, when i first saw this one spec, shortly thereafter i *ran into* others who were either patients or med professional who knew dr xxxx; in each and every case, when i mentioned his name, the eyes would roll skyward and into the universe, and there were gobs of negative reports; and this, before i even said anything! my take, some dear and precious drs have no idea how another dr is treating his/her patients unless people speak up! anyway, this combat today has prepared me for a good night's rest and my first nsg appt tomorrow, while believing in all good blessings all over each and every one of us! love and garlic, szabo <+><
