Husband just diagnosed

My husband, age 72, has just been diagnosed with prostate cancer. His

PSA is 0.75, Gleason score 3+3 & a very small tumor. What has us

terrified is that his bone scan showed two small lesions, with a small

amount of uptake, on his 7th & 8th ribs. We don't see the Dr. until

Tues. His nurse says he wants to wait 3 - 6 months & do another scan &

maybe give him a shot of Lupron. We will be crazy by that time. It will

be hard to handle stage 4 cancer. His parents & siblings that didn't

smoke lived to be mid 80's to age 93. We were hoping to have a lot of

good years to be together. I feel so sorry for him. What are his odds

of having bone mets with his numbers? I thought the tumors secreted the

PSA & that is the reason the PSA has to be high for bone mets to show

up. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thank you
