totally stuck: organizing stuff

I am completely stopped here. I managed to put some clothes away but

now need to make a space for my music books, maybe near the piano. Only

there is no space near the piano that could hold books. So I am trying

to think of other places to put them, but they will be too far away.

Out of sight, out of mind, so I can't put them in something like a box

because I will lose track of them and not use them again, even if I

tell myself to look through the box once a week or so. I had managed to

clear off the bed that has been covered with things for 2 weeks, but

now I have more things on the bed that need to be put away, and no idea

of where to put them. The floor comes to mind, but they will just get

dusty on the floor. Most of the stuff came from the vicinity of the

floor anyway. If I end up just putting them back in boxes I will have

wasted a good part of the day trying to make this place look better.

Whine whine whine. I wish I could get this place straightened up. I

have an image of me (or someone) just plowing ahead, working really

fast, putting everything in its place. But that is not the reality here.
